The U.S. agreed to put on hold for one year a decision to apply export restrictions on certain subsidiaries, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said Thursday.

In return, Washington will put on hold new rules that would place more affiliates of Chinese companies on U.S. economic blacklists.

A federal judge in August determined Alina Habba has been illegally occupying the U.S. attorney post in New Jersey, although that order was put on hold pending appeal.
