The Turing Institute said its board was now looking to appoint a new CEO who will oversee "the next phase" to "step up its work on defence, national security and sovereign capabilities".

Steven Pruett is the president and CEO of Elevation Resources, a Permian Basin oil company, and the immediate past chair of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, one of the industry’s main trade groups.

But James Herring, CEO at brand consultancy Taylor Herring, thinks it's a tech gimmick and giving an avocado "a quick squeeze" works just as well.
