The parents of missing baby Emmanuel Haro pleaded not guilty to a single count of murder each on Thursday, more than two weeks after the child’s mother claimed he vanished during an attack.

Emmanuel’s parents, Jake Haro, 32, and Rebecca Haro, 41, were charged last week in Riverside County Superior Court on one count each of murder with malice.

In the last couple of weeks, the case of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro has been the clarion call for independent journalists, online sleuths and criminal case followers, some traveling across the country to California to chronicle developments.

Other European leaders, notably French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, have publicly said at times that they can no longer rely on America’s security guarantees and thus must provide for the continent’s defense on their own.
