uselessness

Tired of my uselessness in the kitchen, my Nonna reached out to a local restaurant owner-chef and asked that she allow her grandson the opportunity to receive some formal training in her restaurant.

Some of the plot is just unnecessary padding, like Daniel’s girlfriend troubles and slacker mentality, spiking in an odd scene where he hysterically bemoans his own uselessness.

And worse than their sadness is their uselessness.

The thing I love about poetry is its uselessness, the way it is, with a few exceptions, superfluous to capital, difficult to commodify, gratuitous in its insistence on avowing that which has been marked valueless.

The muscles in my knee throb and tighten to excruciating uselessness.
