The Israeli prime minister went on to refute the conclusion of a UN commission of inquiry that Israel had committed genocide in Gaza, claiming the charge was "baseless".

On Sunday, she was "determined to reconcile", adding that she would no longer be pursuing legal action "despite the baseless and unsubstantiated allegations against me".

It comes after Sultana said on Friday that she had instructed defamation lawyers over what she said were "baseless attacks" on her character.

"All the allegations made against me are baseless and false," the accused told the judge.

The Coventry South MP said that they were "baseless attacks on my character are politically-motivated and I intend to hold to account those responsible for making them".
