Duwaji graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University before earning a master's degree in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

The best friends met at the creative arts high school where Escoto studied visual arts and Perkins learned dance.

While studying visual arts at UCLA, he reimagined Sandro Botticelli’s painting “The Birth of Venus” with LGBTQ+ imagery, created a 9-foot-tall Christmas cactus in honor of the time he spent with his father during the holidays and hosted a solo exhibition called “Mystic Garden,” which showcased pieces inspired by flowers given to him by an ex-partner.

She received an MFA in Visual Arts from CalArts in 2012, and her artwork has been included in exhibitions at Commonwealth and Council, Bozo Mag and Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles.

When he returned to L.A., where he had studied journalism at USC, Nicholas took classes in the visual arts and built a law practice that included representation of artists and galleries.
