The Vermilion County jury’s verdict came in the second trial that 34-year-old Dejuan Alexander faced for the March 2014 shooting near Club Deuce that killed Demaree Tetter.

Alexander still is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 25-year-old Demaree M. Tetter outside a Danville nightclub.

The vehicle pulled over on the shoulder and the officer saw Tetter choking and striking the victim with a leash.

Fearing for the woman’s life, the officer pulled his firearm and Tetter fled to a field.
