Saving JPL’s signature planetary science missions like the Mars rovers and Jupiter orbiters is more challenging.

Those enjoying the benefits of first arrival could set up generous routes for rovers, equipment at dig sites for deposits, telecommunication assets, and even a nuclear reactor to assert a large area of domain.

The rover found the leopard print rocks last year at the bottom of a canyon carved out by the river in an area called the Bright Angel Formation.
