Deacon Blue are one of Scotland's most successful bands with 12 UK top 40 singles - including the iconic anthem Dignity and number one Real Gone Kid - and two UK number 1 albums.

“Disco Heat: The Fantasy Years 1977-1981,” a new Sylvester anthology released last week by Real Gone Music, offers a glimpse of his music from the Fantasy Records years, the period when he recorded the disco hits that made him a star.

“I’m upset about it,” Real Gone Co-president Gordon Anderson says of the conflict.

Earlier this month, Russell had the family’s attorney, Steven R. Lowy, ask Real Gone and 43 North for proof of ownership.

The current revival of the label started with Real Gone’s Anderson.
