For all the patients I’ve seen with massive hemorrhage in the ER trauma bay, I’ve seen more who have bled to death before reaching the front door of the hospital.

Celebrating the show’s run at this stage can be a mind-bending numbers game — about 900 gallons of fake blood have been used over the show’s run; the constantly renamed hospital has seen 733 ER patients; and, taking last season’s premiere into account, nine doctors have died.

At trial, jurors heard from the ER doctor who treated the brothers on the day of the crash, who testified that their “altered mental status” and inability to answer even basic questions led him to conclude that they had both sustained traumatic brain injuries.

Xenarios attempted to go on with her day, showing up for her next meeting at the hospital, but she collapsed in the middle of the meeting and was brought to the ER.
