The Leicestershire Conservative group - the main opposition on the authority - has now branded Reform UK's local leadership a "shambles".

The local Reform group and Taylor are yet to comment on the reasons for the decision, with the former only confirming the change, but Conservative group leader Adam Kent said: "What we are witnessing is nothing short of chaos at the top of Worcestershire County Council."

The Conservative group said it had not yet made up its mind on the proposals.

Dan Lister, leader of the Conservative Group on West Northamptonshire Council, said the previous Conservative administration backed several environmental schemes including electric buses and EV charging points - and drove investment to create high quality green jobs.
