The body of a murdered Scottish businessman was found in a sack by a Kenyan cattle herder days after he went missing from his hotel.

On Saturday police received a report that a cattle herder had seen a body inside a sack, which was later identified as Mr Scott.

The cowgirl, who held her badge from 1949 through 1951, also worked as a dog breeder, cattle herder, Christian missionary and caregiver during a well-traveled life that took her from her birthplace of Memphis, Tenn., to Irvine Ranch to Africa and back to California.

Hours later she learned the truth: Her grandson and a fellow cattle herder the family identified only as Ousseni had been seized by men on motorbikes and taken to a military base.
