American Indian

In “Padma’s All American,” she presents dishes from more than 20 different cuisines, from Afghani to American Indian, plus some family favorites passed down from her mother and grandmother.

The lead was taken by the National Museum of the American Indian in 2004.

As a filmmaker—one with carefully wrought ideas and a genuine cinematic palette—Redford lobbied for various environmental causes onscreen and off, including American Indian rights, offshore oil drilling and global warming.

This is in lieu of developing a Latino museum on the National Mall, modeled after the National Museum of the American Indian or the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The 3.5-acre grounds as well as the museum itself were designed by Jones & Jones Architects of Seattle, which also designed the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
