"I was sat on the sofa and thought I'd give it a go before the Co-op ran out of stock," she said.

Many routinely posted that they were out of stock, and apologised for the inconvenience.

"Since last week I've noticed three times the amount of students come - really busy. Sometimes we just go out of stock."

It says it is experiencing a sustained period of relatively high shortages after manufacturing difficulties and rapidly increasing demand meant some suppliers ran out of stock.
