Squirrel attacks in San Rafael have sent two injured residents to the ER.

Alex Kingston, a star of stage and screen for more than 40 years, including in Doctor Who and ER, said she's taking part to show others "anything is possible".

She said she knows of at least two people who went to the ER to be treated for squirrel-inflicted lacerations, out of an abundance of caution.

Countywide, 1.73% of ER patients for the week that ended Sept. 12 were there to seek treatment for COVID, up from 1.46% the prior week.
