Pericarp woody, dehiscent at the tip by 2–4 valves; contains 1–4 seeds, slightly orbiculate, coriaceous.

Seed vessel glabrous, horizontally dehiscent, containing 15 or more angular seeds joined to a common axis.

Capsules borne on the under side of a pedunculate receptacle, irregularly dehiscent.

Calyx not minute; pod colored, dehiscent; seeds enclosed in a pulpy aril.
