The highest world consists of the separate Intelligences or angels, including the world-soul of which the human soul is a part.

He fancied it was the world-soul that animates all things, a concrete form of one of the illusions of the present time.

The World-soul was, in fact, repugnant to men who were impressed with the thought of Sin, and who associated Sin with matter.

He takes matter and binds it into the four elements, and these elements he builds into the empty framework of the World-Soul.

What he apparently did believe in, however, was the existence of the World-Soul, and a few words upon this subject are necessary.
