Luke Bosdet from motoring organisation the AA says it is reasonable to charge more for vehicles that exceed the length of a standard parking space.

Avon and Somerset Police said a man - believed to be in his 80s - collided with pedestrians at a low-speed while manoeuvring out of a parking space.

Many retailers offer the option to have an item shipped to one of their brick-and-mortar stores, and they usually offer pick-ups at a customer service counter or a designated parking space in their lot.

The St. Mary property includes two main buildings, a house and six parking spaces on a narrow strip of land in a neighborhood of apartment buildings.

"Everybody benefits from active travel - it means there are fewer vehicles on the road, less congestion and pollution and also more parking space for those who need to drive a car," Mr Seymour said.
