The national debt is $38 trillion and climbing like the yodeling mountain climber in that “The Price is Right” game.

To be sure, there is an argument to be made that worry about the vast scale of the U.S. national debt will take center stage sooner rather than later, pushing yields higher.

That’s “trillion” with a “t” — the kind of number usually reserved for national debts and global wars.

They figure inflation and interest rates will have to rise to bring national debts under control.

The Tax Foundation estimates it will increase the national debt by around $3 trillion over the next decade.
