A communique after the Communist Party’s Central Committee meeting, which runs Monday to Thursday, will indicate how Beijing aims to steer the economy through turbulence, though details of its 15th five-year plan won’t be released until March.

The new five-year plan “may help clarify some strategic goals and core principles of the anti-involution campaign, highlighting building a ‘unified national market’, curbing irresponsible local government investment, and improving local consumption,” UBS economists said.

Beijing could elevate embodied intelligence to a core strategic track supporting China’s manufacturing powerhouse and digital nation initiatives in the next five-year plan, the analyst adds.
