County firefighters responded to the fire about 10:38 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Farrington Avenue, the department said.

A 57-year-old farmer was found dead by firefighters after being reported missing by his family near a flooded dam close to the village.

Two of the six had been trapped in a vehicle and were rescued by firefighters, she said.

More than 200 firefighters battled the blaze and by Friday afternoon had managed to contain 15% of it, officials said.

Within minutes, firefighters arrived on the scene and extinguished what one of them said was a decorative piece of wood.
