blackheads

I was aghast at the prominent peppering of blackheads on the end of my nose.

Interspersed may generally be seen blackheads, or comedones.

"Blackheads" appear as slightly elevated spots of a black color out of which a small worm-like substance may be pressed.

The blackheads must be squeezed out with an instrument made for the purpose, not with the finger nails.

It is pin-point to pin-head in size, dark yellowish, and usually with a central blackish point (hence the name blackheads).

Constipation and indigestion favor the occurrence of pimples and blackheads; also a poor state of the blood, or anmia.
