The Ronald Reagan Foundation and Institute said it was “reviewing legal options” in the wake of the ad, alleging it contained “selective audio.”

The ad uses audio from a 1987 radio address delivered by Reagan.

Baker would add similar audio magic to the Cars’ self-titled 1978 debut album, using as many as 50 vocal tracks on their seemingly minimalist hit “Good Times Roll.”
